What to expect
How our process works for painting projects
Ready to make a change?
Walk the project with your Project Manager
Walk the project with your Project Manager (if you want to socially distance, you can stay inside and FaceTime with them as they walk around). Point out any specific details that are important to you.
Your Project Manager will ask you questions about your household routine so we know where to park our vans and if we can let your dog out.
You will receive an emailed proposal outlining all costs including labor and paint.
Once you decide to have us paint
Once you decide to have us paint, loop in our (free) color consultant Kate who will come to your home and help you choose colors that match your existing furnishings. Taking an hour with Kate is well worth the time since you’ll be living with these colors for years. Kate will also have large 8 x 8 color samples mailed to you in the colors you’ve discussed and will do a computer rendering of your home in the paint colors you’re considering, so you have an idea of the final look.
Wendy, our scheduling manager, will email you a proposal to DocuSign. It will also have the details of when she’s planning on having the workers start. If you have a date on which you need the painting to start or finish, let Wendy know and she’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
Paying Your Deposit
You can pay your 25% deposit online - Wendy will send you the links. Wendy will email you to let you know the date you’re project will start.
Project Start Day
The painters will arrive the first day between 8am and 9am. They will need 10 minutes of your time to walk around the project. For exteriors, the painters will not show up if it is wet outside as we can’t paint wet surfaces. Ask the painters paint swatches of your color choice(s) for you to view while they prep the job.
Once your painting project is complete, the Job Site Supervisor will walk around with you to make sure all touch ups are done before they leave. At this point you’ll sign off that the project is complete. We will then invoice you by email. for the final 75% of the project. Wendy will call you to make sure you’re happy - please let her know if anything has been missed. Because our business is mostly based on word-of-mouth advertising, we aim to make you proud of your home so you’re happy to recommend us to your friends.
