Popular 2022 Saturated Colors in the Boston area:

Home office mature grape paint on walls
A not-so-professional photo of Paige’s home office. Sherwin Williams Mature Grape walls.

Sherwin Williams Mature Grape (see photo to the right).  A deep purple that’s surprisingly neutral.

Sherwin Williams Stardew.  A favorite because it can make a space feel not only calm but cleaner too.  A favorite choice for bathrooms.

Sherwin Williams Rosemary.  A deep sage that is nice on walls and on kitchen cabinets.

Sherwin Williams Dutch Tile Blue.  A blue/green that hits the right notes.

Farrow and Ball Churlish Green.  A chartreuse that adds “oomph” to powder rooms and small spaces.  Try it as a pop of color inside your glass-door kitchen cabinets.

Farrow and Ball Railings.  We’re painting lots of “almost black” and this is one of them.

Farrow and Ball Hague Blue.  Grownup blue.  Full stop.

Farrow and Ball Duck Green.  A classic on the South Shore.

Sherwin Williams Black Fox.  Is it brown?  Is it black?  It’s both!  This color reads like a dark iron.  It’s great on lower kitchen cabinets to ground the space.  Used on this kitchen cabinet painting project.

kitchen white cabinets on top, brown on bottom
The lower cabinets are painted Sherwin Williams’ Black Fox. This color was chosen, in part, to hide the black appliances and make them “disappear.”

We update these colors a few times a year with trends we see in the Boston area.
