Fire escapes in Massachusetts are required to be well-maintained*, and this includes painting them regularly to protect them from our harsh New England climate. Since paint is both protective and beautifying, a good coat of paint can help prevent the fire escape from deteriorating.
We offer the following process to keep your fire escape protected looking good:
- Scraping and Wire-Brushing Old Paint
- Priming the Fire Escape with a rust-inhibiting primer
- Painting the Fire Escape with exterior industrial black paint.
- Painting of low-skid tread paint on the stair’s tread
*Important: We recommend an ironworks company do a thorough inspection of your fire escape and replace and tighten loose bolts and rusted areas before we paint.
