Large Preschool Interior Repaint

Preschool Painting Project – North Shore, Near Boston, MA

Our Client provides childcare and preschool programs for ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in a large industrial building on the North Shore of Boston.

We performed painting to 20,000 square feet of interior walls and trim as follows:

Microbicidal Wall Paint to Kill Germs: The paint we used was microbicidal, so 99% of germs (including Staph and E. Coli) would not cause illness to the preschool’s young students.  We chose Sherwin Williams Paint Shield for the walls.  This coating’s microbicidal properties last up to four years at a 90% effective rate.

Scuff-resistant paint:  We used scuff-resistant paint in high traffic areas to help prolong the life of the paint at this busy childcare facility where children are, well, children!

Durable Epoxy Trim Paint: We chose a pre-mixed Epoxy coating for the interior trim.  This added to the durability of the paint job, which we knew would be repeatedly touched and bumped by young children.

Color consultation to choose colors: Our designer worked with our Client to bring just enough color to the walls, without overstimulating the children in the space.  Our designer intentionally also chose colors that would hide fingerprints.

Night and weekend work: We performed all painting at night and on weekends while students and teachers were not there.
