Exterior Painting Project for Warehouse
CertaPro Painters® of Tacoma, WA was hired to work on a one-story warehouse in Bremerton, WA. The building was pressure washed, and areas with surface rust were cleaned with a wire wheel brush and primed. The building was painted Snowfall White with a three-foot strip of PMS Gray at the base of the building, and a one-foot strip of PMS Cool Gray at the roofline. The awning was painted Shamrock Green, with the lid painted Snowfall White. Items such as trash enclosures and box bins were painted in the same color scheme as the building. If you need help with a warehouse or industrial painting project, see our industrial painting services page.
CHALLENGES:
The body, sides, rear, and roof of the building all needed to be painted. This Included box bins and trash enclosures which were all to be painted white and gray, two-tone, to match the same look as the wall. Some touch-ups were needed to remove rust and prime the building’s surface.
CONDITIONS:
The building had not been painted in 20 years. The rear of the building had not been painted for 35 years. The metal siding on the building had small amounts of surface rust that needed to be removed and spot primed prior to painting. Birds had also begun to nest in the underside of the awning on the front of the building. They were relocated prior to our arrival.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
The project took a crew of two painters six days to complete. We had to gain access to the adjacent fenced property in order to reach the rear face of the building. A 60ft boom lift was required for the project. Ladders up to 40ft were also used throughout the building.
PROJECT TIMELINE:
6 Days in August 2021
