Purpose of the Role: Create asynchronous assets that support various learning and communication
initiatives. Assets include e-learning courses, explainer videos, procedural tutorials, written
procedures/manuals, coaching guides, and other job aids.

Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 with opportunity for up to 10% bonus based on system-wide sales.

Canada. CertaPro Painters began operations in 1992 and has become the largest residential and
commercial painting company in North America.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with instructional designers, stakeholders, and SMEs to develop eLearning courses
    and other digital assets.
  • Provide asset recommendations based on time, audience, scope, and budget.
  • Utilize proven learning theories and instructional design principles to ensure learning content
    meets the learning objectives and the needs of learners.
  • Actively search for, creatively design, and implement effective methods to educate the Corporate
    employees and franchise staff by applying best practices in adult learning theory and training
    delivery.
  • Create and manage critical paths, drive the review process, and manage change logs.
  • Develop SCORM eLearning courses in Articulate Storyline and/or Rise, creating and editing
    images and audio as needed.
  • Edit videos in Camtasia, Premiere Pro, or a similar tool.
  • Create explainer videos in Sparkol, Powtoon, Vyond, or similar tool.
  • Write procedures to support technology rollouts and operational SOPs.
  • Work with LMS manager to QR, test, publish, and load courses, assign metadata, and pull reports as needed.
  • Work with LMS admin to monitor bugs and update assets as needed.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 4 years of experience creating eLearning courses, explainer videos, and writing
    procedures for L&D or a similar team.
  • Experience with authoring and media tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, and Adobe
    products.
  • Experience sourcing graphics and editing images in Photoshop or a similar tool.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain and foster relationships with stakeholders and SMEs with sensitivity to budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to both drive projects forward and execute the vision of others

Location and Travel:

  • This position can be remotely based.
  • This position requires travel to the Corporate Headquarters located in Audubon, PA as well as other areas of North America to participate in meetings and attend trainings.

Hybrid Remote Work Policy:

Employees who live within a 50-mile radius of CertaPro’s Audubon, PA headquarters are subject to the Hybrid Remote Work Policy, which requires them to work from CertaPro’s headquarters every Monday and at least one additional day per week chosen by the employee.  Employees subject to the Hybrid Remote Work Policy are also expected to work at CertaPro’s headquarters on days when there is a Meet the Team event for prospective franchise owners scheduled.
