CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock, CO was contacted in November 2021 to clean up the image of the interior walls and flooring of the toxic waste area for Circle Graphics, a large print manufacturer in Longmont. The floors had 10 years worth of mastic and various types of product stacked up.
To complete the project, CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock, CO crew had to complete a number of tasks besides just painting. Our crew cleaned the walls prior to painting and ground the floor down to bare concrete, requiring special equipment. After just three and a half days, our crew had the space looking as good as new, and the client was thrilled with the results.

CHALLENGES:This unique project brought on its own set of challenges. Special equipment had to be brought in to properly remove the concrete and to sand down the results afterward. However, CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock, CO hurdled these roadblocks successfully and with ease.
CONDITIONS
- Messy Area: The floors had 10 years worth of mastic and various types of product stacked up There were also products on the walls that required cleaning and sanitation before painting.
- Damaged Concrete: The concrete in the area had been used for many years and needed to be sanded down and fixed. There were holes and scuffs throughout the room.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Painting: Our crew painted the walls of the toxic waste area to a cleaner, more modern blue that blended with Circle Graphics space.
Equipment: We rented a Edco CPM 8 which is a scarifier which removes concrete 1/8” with each pass. Then we had another double drum sander come in to smooth the surface.
