Exterior Painting Project of NZone Building

CertaPro Painters^® of Springfield, VA was contacted in July 2022 to paint the exterior of NZone, a large, multi-purpose facility that is utilized as an athletic facility and church in Chantilly, Virginia. The building houses two indoor soccer fields, six full sized basket courts, a 6,400 square foot weightlifting area, a day care center, and church offices. The building is located about 10 minutes from Dulles International airport in the Washington, DC suburb of Chantilly, Virginia. The structure itself has approximately 40,600 square feet of exterior surface area in addition to railings, entry doors, roll up bay doors, and related items.

The facility owners wanted to provide a completely new look to the building via graphic designs with the paint and using multiple colors. The building was transformed from a 2-tone dull structure to a multi-colored structure utilizing bold colors and designs. The project took approximately four weeks to complete, and was complicated by the fact that the facility was fully open during painting, including when the team was working on the front entrance. Additionally, the crew had to keep an eye on the weather as this part of the summer is prime for daily thunderstorms due to high humidity.
