The First Repaint
This hospital complex is located in Millcreek, just south of Salt Lake City, UT. The hospital, along with the Medical Offices that are attached, was built in 1991. An addition was added in 2022. The portion of the complex we painted had not been painted since it was built in 1991.

This is a hospital complex located in Millcreek, UT. Built in 1991, it had not been painted since it’s construction.
Project Involvement:
First, we had to power wash the stucco exterior. There were areas that couldn’t be reached with a boom lift so we used scaffolding. Scaffolding was used on 3 sides of the northwest building in this project.
The scaffolding was on site for 11days: 5 days of set up, 2 days using, and 4 days to take it down. The scaffolding reached 78 feet in the air and over parts of the building to gain access to areas needing to be painted.
We had to work around a functioning emergency room entrance during the painting process, directing all foot and vehicle traffic to avoid incident.
Special Challenges:
It was challenging to work within a very active pedestrian and vehicle-heavy environment that operated 24 hours a day.
