The Sunsphere located in World’s Fair Park in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, is a 266-foot high hexagonal steel truss structure, topped with a 75 ft gold-colored glass sphere that served as the symbol of the 1982 World's Fair.

In June of 2018, Jonathan M., Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities, contracted CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee to refresh the volleyball practice facility. The job needed to be completed quickly, so our team reshuffled their schedules to meet the University’s needs.

CRI Office Buildings

Painting of the Landmark Towers began on July 15, 2018 with a projected completion time of 6 weeks. The buildings had not been painted in 10 years and were showing significant aging to the finish. CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee was able to restore the building to its original glory.

WBIR-TV Building

WBIR-TV Building

Atop Sharp’s Ridge in Knoxville, TN, sits the original transmitter for WBIR-TV. Built in 1941 and still in use today, this transmitter along with their TV station, built in 1957. CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee was tasked with bringing both buildings back into good condition as well as to update the color scheme from tan to a more modern grey.

Sitting at 180,000 square feet, Clayton Homes recently purchased a manufacturing facility in Morristown, TN that needed an immediate facelift. The CertaPro Painting team planned to begin working in an empty warehouse but knew equipment and stock items would be introduced as the weeks progressed.

Evolve 811 - Apartment Complex

Downtown Knoxville luxury apartment complex with four multi-story buildings. The CertaPro Painters team completed this project in March of 2020 with a 5 man crew over 23 working days. The original colors faded quickly due to a low-quality paint being used in the initial construction.

United Way in Knoxville, TN

In June 2020, CertaPro Painters® of East Tennessee was happy to donate a fresh exterior to the United Way of Greater Knoxville headquarters. The four day project was a standard painting assignment, with Sherwin Williams donating the supplies and Skyworks donating a 40 foot articulating lift.

Manufacturing & Distribution Center Exterior Painting Project

After completing a large interior project for Clayton’s door plant in winter of 2019, we were asked to tackle the majority of the building’s exterior in late fall of 2020. Brick, service doors, safety railings, gutters and downspouts were all painted to clean up the exterior and give this property an immediate face lift.

In April 2021, CertaPro Painters® of East Tennessee was hired to help with a refresh of a multi-color exterior for an arcade in a popular tourist area. The scope of the project included painting roughly 5000 square feet of EFIS/Stucco on the exterior.

Prior to our arrival in September 2021, this hotel had never been painted. It blended into the natural surroundings with its mild beige tones and dark beige accent banding.

In December 2021, CertaPro Painters® of East Tennessee was contracted to paint the entire interior of a large Boys & Girls Club facility, including the Youth Side, Early Child Phase & the Main Hall. The building is located in Knoxville, Tennessee about 15 minutes from Downtown.
