Statewide Fueling Station Rebranding Project

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

The repainting effort included all major exterior elements of the fueling stations. The canopy fascia was repainted white, specifically targeting the existing red sections, and at two locations, the canopy deck was also coated in white to complete the updated appearance. In the forecourt areas, crews repainted the bollards in red to enhance visibility and safety, while the columns and fuel islands were finished in a modern gunmetal gray to match the branding scheme.

The main identification signage and hi-rise MID poles were also refreshed. The top cabinets and poles were repainted in gunmetal gray, while ancillary and pricer cabinets were updated with a silver finish to ensure consistency across all signage elements. All surfaces were primed using a multipurpose primer and finished with Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint in a satin sheen, ensuring durability and clean, professional results suitable for high-traffic commercial environments.

CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:

The most significant challenge involved crew logistics. Because several sites, such as Trinidad and Monte Vista, were located far from the Colorado Springs home base, CertaPro had to coordinate extended overnight travel, crew lodging, and equipment movement to maintain schedule efficiency. Despite the demanding travel requirements and multi-site sequencing, crews worked seamlessly across all locations, completing the full rebranding initiative within the planned three-week timeline.

EQUPMENT & TECHNIQUES:

Work across the canopy structures, columns, and elevated signage required the use of ladders and boom lifts, enabling safe access to all high surfaces. Standard commercial preparation practices, including cleaning, scuff-sanding where needed, priming, and controlled spray application, were used to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting performance across the metal and canopy substrates.
