Modern Exterior Refresh for a Multi-Building Property
CertaPro Painters of Castle Rock was selected to complete a comprehensive exterior refresh across three adjacent buildings located on W. Powers Circle in Littleton, CO. This multi-building project included detailed surface preparation, carpentry repairs, and a full exterior repaint using a new coordinated color scheme designed to modernize the property while maintaining architectural consistency across all structures. All labor, materials, and repairs discussed during the initial walkthrough were included, providing the client with a streamlined, turnkey experience and minimal disruption to the property.
The buildings showed clear signs of age-related wear, including damaged soffits and fascia boards, peeling paint, and exposed substrates. The project also involved multiple exterior materials such as brick, metal, and wood, which required consistent finishes and proper coating selection.
In addition, the client requested a full base color change with coordinated accent tones, along with careful execution around existing fixtures, building components, and exterior details to ensure a clean, durable result.
Project Details
CertaPro Painters of Castle Rock developed a detailed scope of work focused on both long-term performance and updated curb appeal. Our team performed spot priming on bare substrates, replaced damaged exterior boards, and applied professional-grade exterior coatings across all included surfaces. We supplied all paint and materials, coordinated directly with local suppliers, and ensured thorough prep and protection throughout the entire process to deliver a high-quality, lasting finish.
SCOPE OF THE WORK:
Our work began with though preparations including power washing all surfaces, scraping and priming peeling and bare areas, re-caulking failing joints, and securing loose fasteners. The exterior painting work included repainting brick surfaces, black entrance awnings with new stencils, gutters, downspouts, metal parapets, radon pipes and conduits, roof ceilings and roof walls, back entrance soffits, and previously painted doors. All required carpentry repairs were completed as part of the scope. Awnings surrounding windows were removed during the project, and all resulting holes were filled using elastomeric caulk to create a clean, seamless final appearance.
Rather than relying on temporary fillers or patchwork solutions, all damaged boards were fully replaced to ensure long-term durability. While exact material matches cannot always be guaranteed, our team sourced replacement boards from local lumber yards to achieve the closest possible fit.
PAINT SYSTEM:
Each surface received a coating system specifically selected for adhesion and exterior performance. Brick surfaces were primed with Loxon Primer and Sealer and finished with SuperPaint Exterior. Radon pipes were treated with Extreme Bond Primer followed by SuperPaint Exterior for long-lasting coverage. Metal surfaces were primed with ProCryl Primer and top coated with SuperPaint Exterior to prevent premature failure and improve durability.
The updated color palette provided a modern, cohesive look across all three buildings. Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black was used for front entry elements, gutters, downspouts, and metal parapets. Sherwin-Williams Attitude Gray was applied as the primary body color across brick and remaining exterior surfaces. Sherwin-Williams Sagey was selected as an accent color for the main entrance pillars, adding contrast and architectural interest.
