Weekend Interior Repaint at 1009 Grant Street

CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock completed a comprehensive interior repainting project at 1009 Grant Street, a multi-floor commercial facility with active tenants. The project addressed walls, windows, previously painted doors, ceiling tiles, and distressed ceilings throughout common areas, restrooms, conference rooms, phone and work rooms, and break rooms.

Because the building remained occupied during the project, all work was carefully scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only, allowing tenants to continue normal operations with minimal disruption.

The objective was to refresh the interior appearance, improve durability in high-traffic spaces, and extend the life of existing surfaces using building-appropriate, commercial-grade paint systems.

Project Details

SCOPE OF THE WORK:

The scope of work included full surface preparation, priming, and painting across all applicable areas of the building. Walls, ceilings, windows, and previously painted doors were patched, primed, and repainted to achieve a clean, uniform finish. Specialty coatings were applied in high-traffic zones, workout areas, and shower spaces to provide additional durability and moisture resistance. Ceiling tiles and distressed ceiling surfaces were also restored, ensuring a consistent appearance across all floors and shared spaces.

The color scheme was selected to create a clean, modern, and cohesive interior throughout the facility. Accent walls were matched as specified, drywall base walls were finished in Sherwin-Williams Drift of Mist (SW 9166), and concrete base walls in common areas were painted Sherwin-Williams Gossamer Veil (SW 9165). These neutral tones provided visual consistency while supporting a professional commercial environment.

PREPARATION & EXECUTION:

Proper preparation was a critical component of this project and key to achieving long-term performance. Walls and baseboards were cleaned prior to painting, while peeling or bare areas were scraped and primed to promote adhesion.

Caulking repairs were completed where needed, nail holes were filled, loose fasteners were secured, and minor drywall imperfections such as dents, dings, and cracks were repaired. Floors and non-painted surfaces were fully masked and protected, and hardware, switch plates, and other fixtures were either removed or carefully masked.

Ventilation was maintained throughout the application process, and final surface inspections were conducted to ensure all areas were properly prepared before finishing coats were applied.

CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:

Working within an occupied, multi-floor commercial building required detailed planning and coordination. By limiting work to weekends and maintaining close communication with tenants, the crew was able to complete the project efficiently without interfering with daily business operations.

Careful sequencing, cleanliness, and surface protection ensured safety and professionalism throughout the project.

The Results

The completed project delivered a clean, uniform, and durable interior finish across all floors of the facility. High-traffic and specialty-use areas now feature coatings designed for long-term performance, while refreshed walls, ceilings, and architectural elements enhance the overall appearance of the building. The work improved aesthetics, protected surfaces from daily wear, and extended the lifecycle of interior finishes throughout the property.

This project demonstrates CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock’s ability to manage large, multi-floor commercial interiors with the planning, products, and workmanship required for long-term success. From scheduling around active tenants to delivering consistent results across multiple spaces, the project highlights our expertise in complex commercial environments.
