How do you prepare siding for painting?
First, the siding is washed with power washing equipment. After washing, loose paint or debris is scraped from the surface, and imperfections are patched. Light sanding is sometimes done as a prep step to ready the surface for a primer coat. Once the primer is applied and dry, the surface is prepped and ready for new paint to be applied.
What kind of paint do you use on vinyl siding?

Painting vinyl siding with a color that is significantly darker than the original shade can cause warping. It’s best to not choose a color that is much darker than the original siding for this reason.
