Nestled in the middle of a desirable, family-friendly, Plymouth Township neighborhood, our team had the opportunity to paint a home that hasn’t been touched since it was built in the early 1990s. For this project, the owner was looking to refresh the exterior brick surface and the faded aluminum siding on his house.
The dark red bricks were dated and the two-toned aluminum siding was fading. It became our duty to return this house to its former glory and give it a new modern look. Check out our brick painting services, and see what we can do for you.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:The home first got a full powerwash, both the aluminum siding and brick, to remove dirt, mildew debris as well as any loose or peeling paint. The homeowners recently installed new doors and a new Trex deck before the painting project began. We had to meticulously cover all surfaces, as well as avoid any overspray or drips on the newer shingles.
Since brick material is porous and with such a drastic color change, the project required several coats and lots of paint material. We provided well over 20 gallons of paint and primer for this large project.
CONDITIONS:

The dark red brick and faded two-toned aluminum siding needed to catch up with the newly installed, jet-black front and garage door the homeowners had installed.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Prep – Cleaning off the chalky dust and debris, in order for the paint to adhere.
- Power wash – Create a clean surface for good paint adhesion.
- Paint – Required several coatings of paint to cover the brick texture.
- Caulk – Re-caulked the joints in the trim to reseal any cracks.
