Commercial Painting Case Study
Assisted Living Facility Interior Painting
A Fresh New Look for an Assisted Living Facility
Project:
Our team at CertaPro Painters® of Greenville East, SC was tasked with transforming the interior of an assisted living facility to match the brand’s updated color scheme after being acquired by a new company.
Process:
When we began work at the facility, the building was in good condition, but the team needed to remove artwork from the walls and patch existing holes. We also addressed drywall repair and prepared areas where wallpaper needed to be removed and skim-coated. Our team then proceeded with painting the walls, ceilings, doors, door casings, and trim to create a fresh, cohesive look throughout the facility.
One of the main challenges was coordinating with the facility’s schedule, particularly around the activities in the common room and a holiday party. To minimize disruption, we worked around these events and even completed some of the work during evening hours. Additionally, an atrium lift was used to reach the higher areas that needed attention. As requested, the team applied the paint using brushes and rollers, avoiding spray techniques.
Throughout the project, we held weekly check-ins to ensure the work stayed on track with the targeted timeline, provide updates on completed tasks, and address any questions or concerns. These regular check-ins kept the project running smoothly and allowed for open communication between the team and the facility.
Result:
After 8 weeks of careful planning and execution, the facility was beautifully updated with a fresh coat of paint that matched the desired color scheme. The project was completed on time, and the facility was excited with the final results, which not only enhanced the space but also created a welcoming environment for residents and staff.
