Fire Station Drywall Repair & Interior Painting
Restoring and Refreshing a Local Fire Station
Project:
Our team at CertaPro Painters® of Greenville East, SC was brought in to help restore and repaint a fire station in Greenville, SC that had experienced significant water damage due to a major leak.
Process:
The project initially focused on repairing and repainting the first-floor ceiling and a small section on the second floor. However, after evaluating the building’s condition and collaborating with the fire chief, the scope expanded to include additional updates throughout the facility.
On the first floor, about several inches of water had accumulated from the leak, and there was substantial damage to the ceiling. Our crew repaired the affected sheetrock and ensured the area was fully dry before moving forward. To maintain consistency, we carefully color-matched the original ceiling paint before applying a fresh coat.
The second floor required more extensive work. In addition to ceiling repairs, we painted all the walls to create a clean, refreshed appearance. Both floors presented challenges due to the condition of the ceilings, which were heavily impacted by the water damage.
Throughout the one week project, our team had full access to the building, which allowed us to work efficiently and without interruption. We maintained close communication with the fire chief to keep the project running smoothly and accommodate any changes or additions as they came up.
Result:
The fire station was fully restored with freshly painted ceilings and walls, creating a cleaner and more functional environment for the team that serves the community. The fire chief and staff were thrilled with the outcome, and we were proud to help bring the space back to life.
