United Way helps thousands of people every year in the Greater Knoxville area, offering support for education, health, and financial stability. They partner with schools, community developers, financial institutions, along with other organizations to identify and resolve pressing issues that arise in community. Prior to 2016, they were the largest public donation recipient in the United States.
In June 2020, CertaPro Painters® of East Tennessee was happy to donate a fresh exterior coat to the United Way of Greater Knoxville headquarters. The four day project was a standard painting assignment, with Sherwin Williams donating the supplies and Skyworks donating a 40 foot articulating lift. The building had not been painted in 10 years, requiring renovation of the structure’s worn colors. United Way’s visible location in the community added another element of appreciation from the headquarter’s occupants.
BEFORE PHOTOS
CertaPro’s professionals took pictures of the building before the project began to document the areas requiring attention by the team.
Out of Date Appearance
United Way had not received a new coat of paint in 10 years. The exterior appeared worn and old.
THE FINAL RESULT
After the donated project was complete, CertaPro’s professionals surveyed the area and made sure the painting met their standards. The newly power washed and painted building transformed into a striking new feature for the city.
