Stucco Repainting Project

What did the project involve? The project involved prep work, light carpentry work and exterior painting.

Prep work started by pressure washing the entire home to remove all dirt, mildew and debris for the paint to adhere to surface, caulking all previously caulked areas where painting will occur, lightly sanding window sills and doors/frames, scraping any loose and peeling paint to ensure a firm base.

We then had to complete the carpentry work before painting. On the front of the home, carpentry team replaced two trim pieces on the front porch entryway and a trim piece under collection window. The right side needed an upper piece replaced on a dormer window. The rear door frame was replaced along with a back window sill. The garage door trim was replaced on the top side of the garage door.

After prep work and carpentry was completed, we moved on to painting the entire home. We were contracted to paint the soffits, windows, all doors and frames, including storm doors, metal handrail, all wood trim and all stucco surfaces.

Special Challenges: The project involved carpentry work that needed to be done by our carpentry team. Rotted boards were repaired and/or replaced in different areas of the exterior of the home.

Special Equipment Used: The project involved scaffolding.
