Project: In the Spring of 2024, the CertaPro Painters® of Boca Raton, FL team was hired to update the color of a home’s roof in Boca Raton, FL.

What We Started With: A concrete barrel tile. There was lots of built-up mildew and grime which made it hard to determine the initial state of the roof. The original intent was to paint the roof to change the color. However, after the cleaning process, we realized how beautiful the current color of the tiles were and were shocked at the variation of colors of the existing tiles. The homeowner fell back in love with the colored concrete roof so the plan changed to keep the current color and bring back the luster of the tile.

Process: The project involved a cleaning process that helped us to realize the original color of the roof which we kept. After this decision was made, our crew applied a clear sealer to bring back to life the color and richness of the tile. The seal gives it a wet effect that brings out the multiple colors in the tiles. There’s a sheen to the tile, causing the colors to be more vibrant.

Thanks to careful planning and execution from our team, we efficiently completed the entirety of this transformation in three days.
