Project: In early 2024, the CertaPro Painters® of Boca Raton, FL team was hired for an exterior restoration project aimed at repairing the condition of a wooden door in Boca Raton.

Process: Our team tackled a delicate, detail-oriented restoration project, addressing wood double entry doors that, after years of facing the elements, possessed layers of peeling paint on top of varnished wood.

The project involved stripping the multiple layers of paint and varnish from the doors without damaging the original wood. Stripping multiple layers of paint without damaging the wood’s surface can be a challenge. Our expert team employed a power sander and utilized their skillful techniques to access all hard-to-reach places and ensure an even, paint-free base. To finish, we added rich color through restaining the wood with Minwax stains and sealed with a clear coat of Helman’s Spar Urethan Clear Finish, ensuring this restoration will last for years to come.

Thanks to careful planning and execution from our team, we efficiently completed the entirety of this transformation in five days.
