Kitchen Cabinet Painting Case Study
Project Involvement
New homeowners moving from Florida to Massachusetts had a dream of remodeling their new kitchen and reached out to CertaPro Painters® of Andover to assist in realizing that vision. We were hired to paint their kitchen cabinets, which were in good shape but the natural wood appearance was not what the client had in mind for their perfect kitchen.
To start, we set up a spray station in their empty basement, removed all the cabinet doors, and brought them down to apply an interior white paint in a satin finish. This was incredibly helpful in the project as other contractors worked on the backsplash and countertops, so we were not in anyone’s way and were able to complete the task with minimum interruption. Once the cabinet doors were done, we returned upstairs to paint the molding and surrounding parts of the cabinet that could not be removed. We used a White Benjamin Moore ADVANCE® Interior Paint – Satin Sheen on all cabinet parts for this project.
Challenges
Since we were not the only contractors working on this kitchen during this time, we needed to be able to coordinate schedules and set up a station to paint in so that no one was getting in each other’s way. thankfully with the set up of the spray station in the basement, no scheduling issues or holdups occurred throughout this project.
Project Timeline
We were contracted for this project in January 2024, and the entire project took only 4 days to complete.
The Final Results
Combined with the additional work done to the counters and backsplash, the new white satin finish of these cabinets gives the kitchen a more modern and refined feeling than the natural wood finish from before. We are proud of the outcome of this project and hope the new homeowners enjoy this kitchen for years to come.
