Project Plan of Action
Day 1-2 – First, we protect your home surfaces that are not being painted. This includes putting down rosin paper to protect your floors, covering your counter tops, masking off appliances etc. You will designate an area of your garage, basement, or home for spraying the cabinet doors. We then remove all hinges and hardware from cabinets and accurately mark the locations for proper re-installation. In the cleaning phase, we remove the grit and grime from the cabinet boxes, drawers and doors so that the primer and paint can properly adhere. This ensures you’re left with a beautiful finished product. Next we fill cracks and imperfections where needed. Followed by sanding, prep and prime cabinet boxes, drawers and doors with an extremely high adhesion oil-based primer.
Day 3-4 – We will then apply multiple coats of what we believe to be the highest quality and finest cabinet finish. An excellent, factory-like finish that dries hard. It has amazing long-term durability and is absolutely beautiful!
Day 5-6 – Our team will re-install hardware, doors, and drawer fronts in the correct locations. We will install bumpers and clean up all!
Space Options for Painting Cabinets
When painting your cabinets, you have 3 different options where they can be refinished. Based on your space and timeline, we prefer a 10’ x 15’ space (or larger) in the following areas of your home:
1. Garage
2. Unfinished portion inside your home (example: basement)
3. A finished area inside your home. We need to mask all six sides of the room: ceiling, floor and all four walls. If space is limited, we can create two smaller spaces to complete your project.
