Volunteering at the 36th Feaster Five Road Race in Andover, MA

Posted on December 15, 2023

Our family felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude this year towards our Andover community, and as a gesture of appreciation, we decided to give back by volunteering on Thanksgiving morning at the 36th annual Feaster Five Road Race – the largest Thanksgiving Day Road Race in Massachusetts.

We dedicated our time to assisting at the finish line, located at our office home base of Brickstone Square, from 6:30 AM to 11 AM. Our responsibilities included setting up and dismantling the food stations, as well as distributing granola bars, apples, and bananas to those who successfully completed the course. The race offered multiple options for participation, allowing over 6,000 racers to choose between Sidney’s Rainbow Run for kids, the 5k, or the 5-mile race.

Despite the cold and windy conditions, the sun added a touch of warmth to the day, creating lasting memories for my kids, John, and me. We look forward to the possibility of volunteering again in the next road race.
