Condo Carpentry Repair in North Andover, MA
Featured Commercial Project
Chatham Crossing Condos in North Andover, MA
The Chatham Crossing Condos in North Andover, MA were in need of extensive carpentry repair. Caulking on both sides of the corner boards (vertical fascia) was missing, which resulted in water being able to get behind the siding. This slowly rotted multiple layers deep of the structure.
Our expert CertaPro commercial team was called in to evaluate the damage. Our team then worked tirelessly over 3 days to make the necessary repairs and properly wrap the area to create a water vapor barrier before replacing the siding.
CHALLENGES:
The Chatham Crossing Condos in North Andover were under new management. The previous Property Board always looked for the ‘least expensive’ option for building maintenance. Unfortunately, the least expensive option resulted in less preparation to fully protect the building.
The longevity of the “cut corners” solution had lasted at least 4-5 years, but now they had a much larger carpentry problem.

Caulking on both sides of the corner boards (vertical fascia) was missing, which resulted in water being able to get behind the siding. This slowly rotted multiple layers deep of the structure which required extensive carpentry repair.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Carpentry to replace some insulation, pressure treated 2″x4″ and 2″x6″ studs, plywood, water vapor barrier and finally cedar clap board and PVC trim corner boards.
