Commercial Exterior Painting In Winnipeg

CHALLENGES:
The Westman Lions Manor repainting project presented multiple logistical and environmental challenges. The top caps of the building, situated 75 feet high and obstructed by trees, posed significant access difficulties. The project necessitated the temporary shutdown of streets, requiring careful traffic coordination in the parking lot. A mid-project color change, unexpected supply chain issues, and a severe storm that washed fresh paint into one of the units further complicated the process. Additionally, effective communication with tenants was crucial to minimize disruption during the large-scale project. An unexpected exterior living space added after the initial consultation introduced further accessibility challenges, which we addressed by constructing scaffolding instead of using the lift.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Our team undertook the task of painting all surfaces that were previously blue, addressing the building’s inconsistent shades due to past repairs and projects. We employed a Z85 boom lift and set up a 75-foot scaffold to safely access high and obstructed areas. An industrial paint sprayer was used to ensure even and efficient coverage across all surfaces.

PROJECT TIMELINE
This extensive project began in July 2023 and was completed over a two-month period. Despite unforeseen challenges such as the storm and supply chain disruptions, our team managed to keep the project on track and minimize downtime.

THE FINAL RESULTS
The repainting of Westman Lions Manor revitalized the building’s exterior, creating a uniform and refreshed appearance. The project not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the manor but also demonstrated our team’s ability to adapt to and overcome significant challenges.
