Residential Case Study
Farmhouse and Barn Painters
Conditions:
1910 Farmhouse in rural Hillsboro, Oregon. It was an exciting project because the architecture aspect of the house was wonderful. The house had been painted previously with lead paint which was now faded and peeling. There were a new section and large deck that had been added about 25 years ago.
Challenges:
The house required a lot of scraping, priming and caulking in preparation of painting.
Project Involvement:
Being a lead house we were careful to follow Oregon’s RRP laws. This always requires extra time and effort.
Special Challenges:
We also painted the metal barn which required a boom lift which was difficult to maneuver into a good position for painting.
This was a house where the customer and us, both felt we were restoring the house to the appearance it was meant to have.
Complete Exterior Home Makeover
The window trims, doors, and handrails for the doorsteps were scraped of old peeling paint and renew with a fresh coat of premium paint.
