Oregon Child Development Center Track
CertaPro Painters® of Willamette was contacted in September of 2020 to complete the restoration of the playground track for the Oregon Child Development Center. It took our professionals just one week to complete and get the children back on the track.
The starting condition of the track was pretty rough. It had seen a lot of daily wear with the children walking and running on it daily in addition to harsh weather conditions. There was a lot of embedded dirt and grime as well as peeling and missing paint.
We are very grateful that the school staff cooperated with CertaPro Painters® of Willamette, OR throughout the project.

CHALLENGES:This was one of those projects that we don’t see everyday. With that being said, it had its own set of challenges to hurdle.
CONDITIONS
Wear and Tear – The track was in rough condition. It had a lot of use and was in definite need of a paint job. The paint was peeling and even missing in some places.
Environment – There were also plenty of rocks, dirt, and grime stuck into the track. This would have to be taken care of before painting could begin.
CONCERNS
Cleaning the Track –We wanted an even surface for the Child Development Center, so the surface of the track and to be cleaned up and taken care of before our professionals could start on their job.
Long-Lasting Product – Our second concern was to find a paint that could withstand the daily use of the children. We also needed to find a product that would keep the deep red color from fading.
