Interior Painting Project Case Study
Interior Painting Project in Westlake, OH
Interior Painting Project
This interior painting project took place in the Queen Ann neighborhood of Westlake, Ohio, in a large 8,000 sq. ft. single-family home. The family homeowner decided to move forward with painting as part of a remodel, with the goal of completing repairs and creating a fresh new look before the holiday season. With newly installed herringbone floors and gathering spaces being updated, the paint colors needed to complement the remodel and bring the entire room together.
The home had minor drywall cracks and repair areas that needed attention prior to painting. Our team completed drywall taping and skimming, followed by sanding and patching to ensure smooth, seamless walls. All surfaces were degreased and washed before painting, and ProBlock primer was applied where needed to properly prepare the surfaces for finish coats. Protecting the brand-new floors was a top priority, so we carefully covered them with paper, plastic, and drop cloths throughout the project.
Sherwin-Williams products were used for durability and performance. Duration was applied to the walls in a matte finish, while Emerald Trim Enamel was used in semi-gloss on crown molding and baseboards. Cabinets and shelves were finished with Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series for a smooth, professional look. The selected colors—SW 7012 Creamy, SW 7005 Pure White, and SW 0065 Vogue Green—were chosen with the help of a color consultant to create warmth while adding a bold accent that made the space pop.
Despite a tight timeline before the holidays, the two-person crew stayed on schedule with daily check-ins, organized workflow, and consistent communication. The final result tied the new floors together beautifully, created a relaxing atmosphere, and delivered a clean, modern transformation. The homeowner loved the colors, appreciated the communication and quality workmanship, and described the process as easy and stress-free from start to finish.
