Commercial Case Study
South Parma Presbyterian Church
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:
The paint was chipping and pealing all over the walls and ceiling. The ceiling had stains from a previous leak.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
This project required a huge amount of scraping and priming. The original paint was oil-based which required a large amount of scaling.
CHALLENGES, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES:
The interior had very high ceilings and a sanctuary that was full of pews. The scaffolding was built to roll between the isles. A large amount of skimming and sanding was required. We refinished all the pews as well. We used a Festool sander and dust collector to help contain all the dust created by sanding the pews.
FINAL RESULT:
The project started in the summer of 2020 and took 3 weeks to complete.
Photos can be seen below of how the church looked before and after the team got to work.
