PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:

The block walls were peeling badly and the basketball court had to be protected from the dry-fall paint that was sprayed on the ceiling.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

We used Floor Shell to protect the court. It also helped to protect it from the scissor lift that was used. The gym went from a cream and maroon color scheme to Soji White. A primer coat was applied before the two topcoats. There were several promotional signs and two large scoreboards that needed to be masked off. The bleachers and eight basketball backboards and rigging were also masked off to protect from the dry-fall.

CHALLENGES, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES:

The amount of prep involved to protect the floor, lights, HVAC, signage, bleachers, and other equipment was very extensive. This job was completed with sprayers, extension poles, ladders and lifts.
