PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:

The wall we were contracted to paint had extensive peeling due to moisture issues and multiple layers of paint that were not well applied from previous projects.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

The projects involved removing failing layers of paint that were not well applied in previous projects. It involved using a mixture of high-pressure washing and chemical strippers prior to applying a waterproofing system of Loxon XP.

CHALLENGES, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES:

This was an active chemical manufacturing facility and this wall was in their only parking/delivery area so crews had to work off hours in OSHA-regulated conditions. We used chemical strippers, ladders, extension poles, a heavy-duty scissor lift, and respirators.

FINAL RESULT:

The project started in October 2022 and took 2 weeks to complete.
