Gates Mills Villas Apartments Commercial Painting

In Fall-Winter of 2021, CertaPro Painters of Westlake and Medina-Strongsville remodeled and painted the interior of the Gates Mills Villas Apartments in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

This property was in much need of a makeover when we arrived. Wallpaper was pealing from the walls. The paint on the trim and ceilings was dull and faded. Years of abuse had damaged walls and trim on all 8 floors of the building. CertaPro Painters of Westlake Medina-Strongsville was brought on board to bring life back to this independent living property.

This project was large in scope. Drywall was removed from the first-floor corridors and offices. We had to skim all the walls and sand the entire first floor. We used a drywall sealer instead of a primer due to the health issues of the residents. CertaPro carpenters installed new custom wainscotting on the entire first floor. We removed and installed a new baseboard throughout the entire building. We worked closely with the flooring contractors on scheduling the work to ensure the job was done efficiently as possible.

At nearly full capacity our crews worked around the residents and communicated daily with building management as to not inconvenience the residents as much as possible. Special care was taken when deciding on what products to use. The advanced age and varying health issues of the residents were of major concern for the staff and ownership. We partnered with Sherwin Williams to ensure all products used were safe for the residents.
