200 West Apartments Commercial Painting Case Study

In November 2024, CertaPro Painters® was contracted to repaint the full interior of the 10-story apartment complex at 200 West Apartments in Fairview Park, Ohio. The interior walls and surfaces were covered in outdated wallpaper as well as chipping and peeling paint.

Our crew took care to prepare all surfaces before painting could begin – we removed wallpaper from all the walls with the help of pump sprayers and other common hand tools. After the wallpaper had been removed, we skim-coated any drywall imperfections to guarantee a smooth surface for painting. Surfaces without wallpaper were also given attention. Old paint was scraped away and smoothed. Finally we applied paint in the color scheme determined by the client to hallways, ceilings, doors, and door frames.

Due to the number of residents who lived here, we needed to communicate our plans and coordinate days in advance to make sure we could freely access the different areas and tenant doors. There were also other contractors onsite during the project, so we needed to coordinate efforts with them to ensure we were not getting in each other’s way.

After 10 weeks, all 10 floors were fully repainted, allowing tenants to enjoy the updated space for years to come. See the transformation below!
