PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:

The building itself was in good condition, but we needed to remove and replace (96) 30ft tall expansion joints.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

Along with removing and replacing the (96) 30 ft tall expansion joints we also needed to fill and repair any cracks to the stucco structure of the building. Once repairs were complete we applied a full waterproofing system utilizing Sherwin-Williams Loxon HP which consisted of spraying two full coats of paint along with backrolling.

CHALLENGES, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES:

The building utilized a two color scheme which required specific masking and painting. In addition, we were only granted access to the rear of the bulding on weekends due to their aggressive shipping and receiving schedules making it difficult to start and stop on that section of the building. We utilized sprayers, extension wands, brushes and rollers, boom lifts, and safety equipment for the lifts.

FINAL RESULT:

The project started in October 2022 and took five weeks to complete.
