Car Dealership Painting Project in Brookfield, WI
Schlossmann Dodge City is a car dealership in Brookfield, WI. The dealership is part of Schlossman Auto Group which is comprised of 3 dealerships, of which we have been assisting with painting projects for the last 5 years. For this project we worked on the street visible front part of the building including the upper portion of the building around the illuminated street signs and logos.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:The building had some sections that were nearly 3 stories tall, we needed to utilize a 30 foot tall all terrain articulating lift to handle portions of the project.
The exterior had EFIS sections in need of repairs, EFIS exteriors can be difficult to repair without leaving blemishes in the surfaces. Proper repairs require skilled craftsmen. We believe a perfect repair was done for this project (see after photos).
CONDITIONS:
- Wood surfaces around stained glass windows peeling.
- Caulk around windows between brick failing.
- Metal gutters/trim cap peeling and failing.
- Lead based paint on the building
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- EFIS Repairs– patch and repair of damaged sections of EFIS exterior.
- Priming – Of masonry and exterior surfaces
- Two top coats – Exterior acrylic latex coating used.
- Articulating lift – A 30 foot articulating lift was needed to reach areas of the exterior
