Commercial Case Study
Guelph Lake Commons Retirement Living
The Proposal
A local retirement home reached out with the goal of revamping all 3 floors of the common space area. This included an atrium, suite doors, along with main focal points with wallpaper accents, and an emphasis on a positive two-tone colour scheme, impacting the residents’ well being and overall community engagement.
The Process
Key priorities were to perform work according to schedule and on budget with minimal disruption to the daily activities of both residents and staff.
Utilizing pre-job planning while putting an effective schedule in place, we consistently communicated to the community, allowing the residents advanced notice of when and what area we’d be working in, allowing them to plan their days accordingly. To continue to minimize daily disruptions, the use of zero VOC paint helped reduce odours along the way.
The Result
The partnership created with the community’s stakeholders on this project allowed us to work efficiently delivering the expected final outcome on time and on budget.
