In January 2026, CertaPro Painters® of Tacoma completed a comprehensive exterior line striping project in Puyallup, WA. The project focused on refreshing and enhancing parking lot markings to improve safety, visibility, and overall organization in a high-traffic commercial environment.
The completed project delivered a clean, highly visible parking lot layout that enhances both safety and curb appeal. Fresh striping, clearly marked accessible spaces, and defined pedestrian zones now provide a more organized and user-friendly environment.

PROJECT SCOPE:
The scope of work included restriping approximately 70 parking stalls, repainting five handicap-accessible parking spaces, and adding two custom reserved parking spots. The team also applied back striping in non-building areas and installed three sets of horizontal “No Walk” hash markings to improve pedestrian safety.
All work was completed in phases to accommodate site availability and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
Preparation began with a full pressure wash of all surfaces to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants. Loose or failing paint was scraped away, and spot priming was performed where needed to promote proper adhesion. Once surfaces were prepared, new line striping was applied with precision to ensure clean, consistent markings across the lot.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
One of the primary challenges involved accurately measuring and laying out reserved and handicap-accessible parking spaces. These areas require strict adherence to spacing and compliance standards.
Through careful planning and precise measurements, the team ensured all markings were properly aligned and clearly defined. Additionally, strong communication with the client allowed for coordinated vehicle movement and access throughout the project, preventing disruptions to normal business operations.
