U-Haul Self Storage Facility Exterior & Interior Painting

Project: CertaPro Painters® of Staten Island was tasked with a commercial painting project at a U-Haul Self Storage Facility. This newly constructed 7-story building required full interior and exterior painting, line striping, and concrete floor staining.

Process: Due to the height of the 7-story building, accessing the exterior surfaces required the use of several large lifts. The team needed to carefully plan and coordinate their work to navigate the tight spaces around the building. This was especially challenging in areas with limited access for heavy equipment. Despite these challenges, CertaPro Painters® ensured that all high-access areas were safely reached and prepared for painting.

In addition to access issues, the project faced constant high winds, which posed difficulties for exterior work. Spraying, which is a typical method for large-scale projects, was not feasible in certain areas due to the wind. As a result, the team employed rolling and brushing techniques to ensure the paint was applied evenly and with precision.

Another critical aspect of the project was the creation of new stripes on the exterior of the building. CertaPro Painters® took charge of the layout and leveling process, ensuring the stripes were correctly aligned and visually appealing.

The interior work involved painting and concrete floor staining. The team worked efficiently to complete these tasks, ensuring consistent coverage and a polished, professional look throughout the building. The project also included line striping for parking and other designated areas, which was carried out with precision to ensure safety and organization for future customers of the facility.
