CertaPro Painters of Salt Lake City Completes Inaugural Coats for Coats Drive, Collecting 198 Coats for Local Elementary Schools

CertaPro Painters^® of Salt Lake City, UT is proud to announce the successful completion of its first Coats for Coats Drive, held from October 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026. Through the generosity of clients, partners, and the local community, a total of 198 coats were collected and distributed to five elementary schools across the Salt Lake metro area, including Meadowlark, Parkview, Backman, Newman, and Escalante.

To support the initiative, 16 collection boxes were placed across participating properties within three commercial partner portfolios, representing a total of 16 buildings. The drive accepted new and gently used coats in all sizes and was primarily client-focused, with additional outreach through social media to encourage broader community participation. Notably, the Lincoln Property Company team at 222 S Main required four separate donation pickups due to the high level of participation at that location, while two locations within the Gardner Group portfolio each required multiple pickups as well.

This effort was made possible through strong collaboration with industry partners. CertaPro Painters extends sincere thanks to Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services, Lincoln Property Company, and Gardner Group for hosting collection boxes and rallying their tenant communities.

CertaPro Painters also partnered with For the Kids to coordinate communication with local schools and oversee distribution efforts. Several of the participating schools expressed appreciation for receiving coat sizes beyond the elementary range, allowing them to support broader family needs. Many plan to distribute these additional items during upcoming family back-to-school nights this spring. “Oh wow!!!! 200! This is so awesome,” shared founder Minda, reflecting on the impact of the drive.

The initiative reflects CertaPro Painters’ commitment to its core purpose: enhancing people’s homes, workplaces, and lives. What began as a simple idea to give back evolved into a meaningful community effort, driven entirely by voluntary contributions. Notably, while the drive included a promotional incentive, no participants requested it, highlighting the genuine generosity of the Salt Lake community.

Following the success of its inaugural year, CertaPro Painters plans to continue the Coats for Coats Drive annually, with goals to expand participation among additional commercial partners, increase collection locations, and optimize timing to ensure donations reach those in need during peak winter conditions.
