Seamless Balcony Repainting for Upscale Condominiums
CertaPro Painters of Rockford/Janesville was tasked with refreshing the exterior balconies of an upscale condominium located near the Capitol Building in Madison. Our goal was to maintain the building’s polished façade while overcoming unique challenges related to the surrounding construction and limited access. Through coordination with the city and adjacent contractors, we successfully completed the project while ensuring minimal disruption to the area.

Project Scope: The project focused on repainting the exterior balconies of the condominium to enhance and maintain its modern appearance.
Description of Project: The condominium is in an upscale neighborhood surrounding the Capitol Building in Madison. CertaPro Painters was hired to refresh the exterior of the building in order to maintain its polished façade.
Challenges:
- Adjacent Construction: Two out of the four streets surrounding the building were under construction during the project. This required our production team to work closely with the city and the construction contractor to ensure that our lifts and swing stages could be safely and efficiently moved around the building.
- Interior Staircase: The large staircase behind the main building made it impossible to use a lift on that side of the structure, requiring alternative methods for accessing the balconies.
Unique Equipment and Techniques:
- Swing Stage: To overcome the challenges of accessing the balconies, we used a swing stage scaffold, which allowed our team to safely suspend and maneuver around the building to reach all necessary areas. This specialized equipment was essential for completing the project without delays.
Outcome: The project was completed successfully, leaving the building’s exterior balconies refreshed and in line with the aesthetic of the upscale neighborhood. Despite the challenges posed by adjacent construction and the staircase, CertaPro Painters of Rockford/Janesville expertly coordinated logistics and utilized the right equipment to achieve a seamless and polished finish.
