How Often Should You Paint?

Many factors affect how long a paint job will last: temperature, humidity, wind strength, the care put forth by the original painters, etc. It’s hard to know exactly where your home falls on this scale. But all things being equal, we recommend the following:

Exteriors, 4-6 years
Exterior Wood Siding (solid stain), 2-3 years
Fencing & Decks (solid stain), 3-4 years
Interior (common areas), 3-4 years
Exterior Metals, 4-5 years

To ensure that the project meets expectations, we step through a defined process:

1.) DISCOVERY – On-site meeting/walk at the beginning of the project to review scope, paint system, and paint failures/risks; bring in SMU as required.

2.) PROPOSAL – Based on the Discovery meeting, we’ll develop a detailed proposal with pricing that meets your RFP requirements.

3.) PROJECT PLAN – Create a detailed project plan tailored to your unique requirements and needs. Roles, goals, and a schedule, with planned check-ins or milestone events.

4.) SITE INSPECTION – We’ll invite you to walk the job site with us to gather more details about the scope, including any special needs or requests.

5.) PROFESSIONAL CERTAINTY – This is the work itself. From on-time arrival to end-of-day clean up and a focus on minimizing business disruption. Providing in-process updates and transparency on any delays or issues that arise

6.) INTERNAL INSPECTION – We walk the job to ensure our quality standards are upheld and course correct if needed.

7.) PRIDE WALK – We’ll invite you or your representative to walk the site with us to ensure work is completed to your satisfaction. Pictures are taken for use in a digital presentation if requested.
