7 steps to cabinet painting
1. Remove doors and drawers to bring to offsite spray booth
a. Number them so you are sure to put them back in the exact same spot
2. Thoroughly wash all areas that are being painted.
3. Scuff sand and prep
a. Fill holes and imperfections
b. Use grain filler to hide any grain, depending on how much, if any grain, you want to see through the paint
4. Prime using an adhesion-promoting primer
5. Fine sand off any bumps or grooves
6. Apply 2 top coats of a water-based enamel with a hard durable finish
7. Let dry and reconstruct.
