The total coverage was over 90ft of metal needing to be primed and painted. Because this was a commercial property, special measures had to be taken in order to minimize the possibility of a plan going awry. We utilized special mini rollers on the fencing. In addition to these rollers we also made sure to only use a specialty rust inhibitive primer and metal paint to ensure that the service will be long-lasting.
Plants and bushes had to be covered before painting could begin. And the project had to be delayed due to weather conditions for the sake of proper paint adherance.
Conditions
The metal fencing was been exposed to sun and moisture damage for years, leading to a range of wear and degradation. Its once solid black color has faded, losing its luster and vibrancy. Without proper attention, rust spots were likely to soon appear.Excessive weathering over the years had caused parts of the metal railings to suffer from peeling and paint chipping.
Painting Process
A rust inhibitive primer and special direct to metal paint were used to refresh the fences at this local property. The fences were sanded and wire brushed to remove all loose and peeling flakes. This allowed our painting contractors to provide a flawless and smooth coat of paint. Only after multiple coats were applied, did we contact the property owner for a final thumbs up.
