Interior House Painters Identify Best Colour Combinations
Posted on August 27, 2019
At CertaPro Painters® of Ottawa, we paint the interior of many homes each year. And each year that rolls by, we see colour combinations that make us think, “Wow…that’s really nice!”
Since we want our customers to think and say the same thing, we thought we would share those colour combinations here.
Light Brown and Purple
At first, you may think this is mistake. Light brown and purple for interior house walls?
Yes, we’ve seen it and it really does look amazing. The colour combination looks a little like this:
Some people painting one wall the brown colour and then another wall the dark purple colour, and we must say, it looks pretty great.
Of course, we also see people who paint their room the brown colour, and then their decor is the dark purple colour. It’s all in what you like…
Green on Greenish White
This is perfect for those who love the colour green. The first one is a true green colour, and the second one is a white with a tinge of green.
As you can see, they go really well together. Again, you could do one wall one and another wall the other. Or, you can use one as the primary colour for the walls, and then the other as an accept. For this one, we would do the white green colour for the walls and then a green accept.
Grey and Red
This one we have just seen as grey walls with accents of red. We love it. There’s something about the dullness of the grey and the pop of vibrant red that just makes it work.
There are many different shades of grey you can use, so if you’re looking for something lighter, that’s an option. You just simply have to let us know what you’re thinking, and we’ll show you what is available.
Pink and Orange
This may not be for everyone, but we’ve seen some amazing rooms using both of these colours. Teen girls love it, and some people have used them in a beach style home.
Like we said, it’s not for everyone, but you can’t deny that they do look good together.
