CertaPro Painters® of Davis/Weber Counties, UT was contacted in October 2020 to repaint the four sides of the caboose, the detail work around the doors and landings, the train car connection joint, and the underside.
The train car was power washed and cleaned before painting began. CertaPro Painters® of Davis/Weber Counties, UT scraped and sanded down the stickers and the decals, and the areas with scaly rust were ground down to a sound surface. Then, two coats of primer were applied over the bare metal to ensure that rusted areas did not bleed through.
CertaPro Painters® of Davis/Weber Counties, UT also reinstalled the red lettering and the Union Pacific shields in the same configuration that they were at the start.
