Allan Street Case Study
CertaPro Painters® of Oakville-Burlington
Allan Street Painting Project
CHALLENGES:
The biggest challenge we faced was the location. We were working downtown so encountered a high amount of foot traffic and had to coordinate with local businesses to get access for the lift as well as ensure we were abiding by city bylaws. Additionally, since there were eight units involved, meaning eight different owners, communicating with all the tenants about what the process would be and what was required on their end to make sure the project could run smoothly wasn’t easy.
CONDITIONS:
The units were coming up on twenty years since being built and had yet to be painted. The original
stucco was beginning to look dated and was in dire need of a refresh to enhance curb appeal.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
To kick things off, the project involved sending a designer to ensure everyone was on board with the colours. During the prep stage, stucco repair and power washing was required. The painting portion of the project involved stucco, porch ceilings, posts, front doors and rod iron railings. A lift was also necessary to complete this project safely, which had to be strategically utilized due to limited access.
PROJECT TIMELINE
This project was completed in October of 2024.
THE FINAL RESULTS
As these were individually owned freehold row homes, getting everyone on board with the colour selections was initially challenging, but in the end, all Residents were very happy with the results.
