My name is John Jordan, and I am the Owner and President of CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana. I founded our local franchise in 2013 after nearly 15 years working alongside my father in the security services industry. Together, we successfully grew and eventually exited that business through a sale to a private equity group—an experience that shaped my passion for leadership, operational excellence, and building successful teams.
When I began searching for my next venture, I was drawn to CertaPro Painters because its four core values aligned directly with my own:

Since opening our doors, CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana has grown into the region’s premier painting organization. Our continued growth is rooted in our commitment to Delivering Extraordinary Experiences on every project—residential, commercial, carpentry, and specialty coatings.
Over the years, I’ve become most proud of the team we’ve built. Creating an environment where our associates, project managers, and painting professionals can grow, take on new challenges, and achieve their goals is the most rewarding part of my work. I’m passionate about developing leaders, investing in coaching, and supporting those who push themselves to get better every day.

Outside the Business
When I’m not working on or in the business, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Rachel—an oncology and infusion nurse in Crown Point—and our two daughters, Hannah and Haley. Hannah is off to college at Kansas State University pursuing a degree in Pet Food and Animal Feed Science. Haley is a Junior at Crown Point High School.
And if there’s one more thing to know about me: I love to cook. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large crowd, I enjoy crafting great food with attention to the details and techniques that bring out big flavor. Most weekends, you’ll find me at The Smoke Show, our outdoor living space, experimenting with new recipes and feeding friends, family, and sometimes half the neighborhood.
