The problem to be solved:

While the walls in their new home were already recently painted by CertaPro, the garage had unfinished walls and bare concrete flooring. We began by prepping the floor with a mechanical grinder and then applied a concrete coating to the garage floor. Following the garage floor coating, we had to install the insulation on the unfinished walls in the garage. After the insulation was complete, we had to add drywall, then tape, mud, and finish the walls before painting.

Challenges:

The builder had completed the walls in the garage adjacent to the interior of the house, applying only one layer of tape and mud. Our challenge was that we had to install insulation and drywall on the remaining unworked walls, and ensure that the new taping and mudding matched the existing finish. Additionally, we needed to complete the mudding and finishing of the drywall that the builder had initially installed, for a uniform appearance throughout the garage.

Final result:

The project took a total of 7 days, accounting for the two projects.

This Certapro team had performed high quality workmanship on a large interior house painting job with high ceilings. They were very flexible and completed the week long job while we were gone on vacation. I was so happy with the work and how it improved my new home feel that I had them finish my new home garage drywall that the builder left undone and also had them install a new epoxy garage floor. The manager is very easy to work with and can also provide an opinion if you ask for it. Each scheduled visit was started and stopped on time. Likely the best contractor I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
