40 Carl Hall Road is a multi-tenant commercial and office facility located within Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario. The building serves a variety of businesses and organizations and includes extensive common areas, corridors, stairwells, offices, and shared facilities used daily by tenants and visitors.
The project involved painting and restoring more than 120,000 square feet of common area wall surfaces, multiple stairwells, doors, frames, railings, and associated building components throughout the occupied facility. The objective was to modernize the appearance of the building while improving durability and creating a cleaner, more professional environment for tenants.
PROJECT SCOPE:
The property management team sought a comprehensive restoration and repainting program to refresh the facility, improve aesthetics, and create a more uniform and professional appearance across all common areas.
Our team completed extensive drywall repairs before applying premium commercial coatings throughout the facility. The work was performed in phases to minimize disruption while maintaining continuous access for tenants and building occupants.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
The project was completed within an actively occupied commercial facility, requiring careful planning and coordination with building management. Maintaining safe access for tenants while performing drywall repairs, painting large corridors, and working within multiple stairwells required a phased production approach.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT & TECHNIQUES:
The project also required advanced drywall finishing techniques, detailed surface preparation, commercial-grade spray and roll applications, and specialized coatings designed for high-traffic commercial environments. Careful sequencing of repairs, priming, and finishing ensured a consistent appearance throughout the facility.
